From Seattle, with love

Check out the Torker U-District. The Chromoly steel frame makes it strong enough to handle the worst city abuse Brooklyn can dish out, but still light enough to carry up to your sixth floor apartment. It may have track geometry, but both the frame and fork have rack and fender eyelets. Front and rear caliper brakes installed (because we all know, the faster you can stop the faster you can go). The wheels have lightweight double walled (twice the strength) Alex rims, and a flip flop rear hub so you can choose weather you want to ride fixed gear or freewheel it. – all this and available in 6 sizes: 44cm thru 56cm (c-t).

A new reason to recycle your car

The Seattle Bike Supply most recently introduced this prized puppy through their Torker division – the Torker® Cargo-T. Modeled after traditional Dutch delivery bikes, the Cargo-T makes hauling your goods in the city more fun than you ever thought it could be. Alright, obviously there are steel racks on the front and rear that can hold a combined weight of 65 pounds. But what else does she have? Silly question. Apart from its no need to tip that heavy bike step-through frame, it has a Shimano Nexus 3-speed hub with a coaster brake in the rear and a roller-cam brake for swift, all weather stops in the front. The centered double kick-stand is the key to a no tip over life. Still not impressed? Ok, so how about a locking headset so the front wheel is rock solid while you’re loading up? And to top it all off, there’s a ring-a-ding bell so you can let everyone know your wide load is coming through. Fit for both men and women in either a slate grey or neon green (shown), this one-size fits all cargo bike is the bees knees.
