This is definitely something we can get behind. We’re happy to announce this awesome event and will be co-sponsoring it along with some other bike shop owners and cycling enthusiasts. See you then!

cranksgiving09_flyer

Cranksgiving is an annual charity ride that collects food for the homeless and funds for City Harvest and the New York Bike Messenger Foundation. It’s been happening for over a decade now and has spread to at least a dozen other cities. But this is where it started, in New York City. Free registration for the race is at 2pm on November 21, and the race will begin at 3pm. Donations are being accepted online at http://www.cranksgiving.org, or can be mailed to the New York Bike Messenger Foundation.

It’s official

Although most of you may already know this by now, I’d like to make it official.

We at BByB have indeed expanded. The space next door, which we shared a back wall with, became vacant about a month ago. Well, one thing led to another and BOomBoOOmBOoom! we moved right on in.

We’re totally fresh and out of the box over there. Still even smells a bit like plastic. We don’t even have a new signage yet. But with an expanded skateboard line, a brand new full line of Rome snowboards including boots and bindings, and a bench dedicated to snowboard tune ups, we think that the “new car smell” will disappear faster than we can do a lap in the park.
