Recycled Bikes
The staple of this madhouse is of course our bitchn’ bike builds. We’ve found that the single speed is the best bike suited for getting around in this city, so all of our bikes have been converted (with the exception of those classy 3 speeds). All the frames are old steel (they don’t make ‘em like they used to) and vary greatly from frame type to frame type. Steel is a bit heavier than most of the other stuff out there, but it’s the best at taking the abuse this city dishes out. All of our bikes get a complete over-haul from the bottom bracket up. All bearings get repacked and all cables, brake pads, tires, tubes, handlebars and grips are replaced. This is the treatment every bike gets across the board. Sometimes, when a special something something gets in the stand, it gets the full BByB treatment. New cranks, a new wheel set… some extra BByB lovin’. Our build ups are constantly changing, so if you don’t see something that tickles your pickle out on our floor, don’t be discouraged. Patience is a virtue. You never know, your dream bike could be in the very next day.
